Babies are a blessing...

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to bless Brooklyn. What a fun and wonderful weekend. Colton and I had our parents up, so Brooklyn got to soak in a lot of grandma and grandpa time.  Saturday Colt and I prepared for the big day. We got the house all dolled up, cooked and baked for hours, and enjoyed our little princess. When both set of grandparents arrived we decided to go to dinner at Golden Corral. As we sat at our table, a glanced to another table where this man and woman were seated. I stared for a long time (very polite I know) and it hit me, the man was Rowland from this last season of the Biggest Loser. Rowland was the Olympic wrestler trying to shed some pounds. I thought it was so cool! Of all the places, we saw him there. REAL COOL! Finally the big day arrived. Brooklyn's blessing was awesome! Colton did a great job, little does colton know, but he brought tears to my eyes (that isn't saying much). After, we had a little get together with family and friends and ate to our hearts content. What a blessing to have so many friends and family that support us, even those that couldn't be there. The Gospel is so amazing, especially the family part of it. These past few months, I've recognized that family means so much. Without family, I would be lost. It means a little differently to me now that I have started my own family. Brooklyn and Colton mean the absolute world to me and I thank Heavenly Father everyday for bringing them into my life. They are my light and joy.

Busy Busy Busy!!

WOW!
Being a mom is hard work, but I wouldn't give it up for anything. Brooklyn is an amazing little girl and is slowly starting to develop her cute personality. When I wake up in the morning to see her sleeping in her bed, I can't help but feel so blessed. 10 minutes later she is screaming because I can't get her bottle filled quick enough, but is quick to forgive me when I feed her. Nothing is better than seeing those two sweet blue eyes looking up at me. I know a lot of mothers say this, but I have the cutest baby ever. In the beginning, I saw a lot of colton in her, but everyday I think she resembles me more and more. Like I've said before, Brooklyn is a wonderful blessing in our lives and we are both so blessed to have her here as healthy as she is. During the pregnancy, we were worried that she would be in the icu for a little while, but she came out big and healthy. Heavenly Father knows us and he knew what he was doing when he sent this sweet angel into our lives. We love her...even at 3:00 am in the morning. :)

Brooklyn Hope Grisham

Well our beautiful baby girl has finally decided to grace us with her presence. How fun this is! I can't tell you what a joy and blessing this little girl has brought into our lives. Sometimes I can't believe that she's here and that we're parents. It's almost been a year since Colton and I were married and already we have a baby...no complaints here :) We love her SO much and we look forward to sharing this little gift with everyone.

Rainy Days...

Sometimes rainy days seem really gloomy...today it just means I was able to get a lot of stuff done around the house. I figured since I won't really be able to do much at the end of the week except take care of our new baby girl, I might as well get the house cleaned for my parents to arrive Wednesday afternoon. Rain means that it won't be a dry summer which makes me excited for how beautiful Logan will be when its warm outside. We're just lucky it isn't snowing...hope I didn't speak to soon :) I think this baby girl knows the weather isn't the best because she has been doing flippies in my stomach all day, how she can still move around in there is beyond me. Can't wait to meet this little bundle of joy, aka our chunky monkey. "ITS THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!" 5 days!!!

Our new addition

Everything changes with a positive pink plus sign. We are both very VERY excited for this new chapter in our lives. We know that this baby girl is going to change how we do everything, but we know that it will only be for the better. She has already become a big blessing in our lives and will surely continue to do so. With only a week away, ready or not...HERE SHE COMES!!!

Something new is not always easy...

So I'm setting up a blog and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. This is a lot harder than I thought. With our little bundle of joy coming in a couple of days, I thought it would be a great way to introduce our new little family. It may take me a while to figure this out, so just bear with me. I'll promise to do my best :)
